I'm a little slow. To put it metaphorically - whenever I become interested in something new, I have to hail a cab, point at the tiny speck off in the distance, and shout,

"Follow that bandwagon!"

uuuuugh

Why is it so unheard of for someone to like both Katy Perry AND Lady Gaga? Like oh my god seriously their fans just ugh shut up they’re both amazing and talented and gorgeous just stfu and stop tearing at each others throats. honestly nobody has any right to criticize any of the artists out there. (YEAH, BIEBER HATERS. THAT INCLUDES YOU.) none of us nobodies are in a position to rag on anyone with talent for anything having to do with their artistic license.

i’m tired. i’m going to shut up and go to bed now before i cough up a lung.

mausoliams:

Who even designed this game? The characters look like pre-teens on meth. I mean, the ones that aren’t anthropomorphic ducks and mice.
How does anyone on earth think this is attractive?
Give me a real person, thank you very much. Not this contrived naive notion of what makes someone attractive.
Give me body hair, and a little big of squish around the torso. Give me curly hair I can run my fingers through, not this ridiculous explosion of triangles. Give me an elbow that accidentally pokes me in the ribs when he’s hugging me too enthusiastically, or teeth that clack against mine when he kisses me too hard — not this romantic notion of being shy or sweet or courageous.
Give me hot breath in the closet between classes, warm lips from morning coffee, the scrunched up nose when he tells me I taste like an ash tray, the slight smile as he says it like he knows I won’t listen.
No, nevermind.
I have that already, and his name’s Milo.

Preach it, honey. ♥
Not that I personally have anything against KH, but Liam makes a good point here. Real people are sexy. Doki-doki-kawaii-desu anime and video game characters can be attractive, yes, but oh my god, people, stop fapping to fiction.
That includes ponies. Seriously, bronies, that’s disgusting — and that’s coming from one of your own.
i realize there’s a load of irony here considering who i’m reblogging this from but sshhhhh the characters from TOY are super realistic okay be quiet before Liam hears you and has an existential crisis

How NOT to compliment an artist

nnscribble:

kions:

Saw a few things regarding this matter floating around, and since this is my wordyblog and I’ve got some experience on the matter, I figured I’d pipe up because OPINIONS.

It’s happened to me before where I’m streaming, or where I post something, and I get someone messaging me saying something…

I also kind of dislike it when people say they’re jealous of my style or skills. I don’t want people to be jealous. I’m a really jealous person, I get jealous over the smallest things, and it’s not fun at all. Allthough it’s good to have a little bit of jealousy, which will challenge you to think “that person is great, I wanna draw like them or even better than them”. But it’s not good if jealousy makes you feel discouraged or bad.

The best compliments I’ve recieved are the ones that say seeing my drawings have made them grab the pen again and made them draw, that I’ve inspired them and made them want to improve. That’s really something.

I get comments like “oh my god i wish i was as good as you” sometimes on dA (Despite the fact that there are far better artists out there lol.) and I’m like, Dude… This is like 11 years’ worth of me figuring out my own style and studying anatomical structures and doing everything I can to make each drawing better than the last. This didn’t happen overnight.

Those kind of comments just rub me the wrong way, I guess. The statement of “I’m not as talented as you but I’m not going to elaborate.”
Now, something more along the lines of “I wish I was as good as you. How did you get so good?” or “Lol what’s your secret? :P” or “How do you get X to look so not-funky?” would be far more acceptable, IMO. Because that shows a desire to learn, and that’s one of the things that I love seeing. In a perfect world, those question-asking people would go on to be even better artists than I am. c:
